CS 3053 Human Computer Interaction

Course Information

Required books:
- Designing the User Interface: Stategies for Effective Human-Computer Interaction (5th edition) by Shneiderman and Plaisant
- Ethics & Technology: Ethical Issues in an Age of Information and Communication Technology (2nd edition) by Tavani. This is the same book you used in CS 2334 and 2413. We will cover chapters 10 & 11.
Optional books. Thse are available online from the OU Library for free. Also a single copy of both books will be available for use in the Engineering Library.
- Learn Objective-C on the Mac (available in e-book form for a very affordable price). This link will work so long as you are on campus.
- Beginning iPhone 3 Development: Exploring the iPhone SDK (available in e-book form for a very affordable price) . The older (version 2 of the OS) version of the book is available here so long as you are on campus. The Engineering library is ordering version 3 of the book.
